Bordeaux Geek Festival: a success that is adorned with the colours of winter
If the festival is fairly recent, it is always highly anticipated and widely attended, both by “gamers” who came to participate in the various video game tournaments organized throughout the festival, as well as by cosplayers, those people who wear the costumes of their favorite comic book heroes or video games, but also simple curious people who appreciate this universe out of time.
This year, the BGF will no longer be the only gaming event of the year for their greatest pleasure: the BGF Winter makes its big entrance in the sacred circle of conventions, at the Teste de Buch! On December 16th and 17th, Web Culture takes over the Exhibition Park, in a cozy universe, a new rendezvous in the continuity of the Bordeaux convention. On the program: lectures, games, cosplay shows, but also makeup professionals for special effects… all the ingredients for a successful weekend!
From Bordeaux to the Arcachon Basin for the first winter edition
In recent years, conventions around video games and the comics universe have been developing and multiplying, attracting people of all ages and backgrounds. The best known, like Paris Games Week, are real successes, which attract people even from other countries. The world of video games is democratizing, with international competitions, worthy of sports competitions, the BGF and its little winter brother thus perfectly in line with this trend.
In addition, at these conventions, personalities from the world of Web Culture come to share their experience, meet visitors and animate the games and events of the weekend. Among the guests, figures of geek culture and especially Star Wars, such as Aurélien VIVES or Captain Tabouret, video game figures like Carrhotus…
To take part in this first edition of the Bordeaux Geek Festival Winter, it is already possible to book tickets or pass online, on the website, to take advantage of more interesting rates: 8 on Saturdays / 7 euros on Sundays or 14 euros for both days. You will be able to enjoy your passion in “Winter Sports and Mountains” mode, just a stone’s throw from the iodized air of the Basin.
But you can also buy your tickets directly on the day of the festival, 9 euros for Saturdays, 8 euros for Sundays or 15 euros on both days.
