Camping, one of the french’s favourite activities, attracts millions of tourists every year. Building on the industry’s fame, the television series Camping Paradis brings together millions of viewers with each episode aired. Thus, in view of its success, a new camping concept has taken over the set design and the “paradise” setting of the family series.
A unique experience in the world of Camping Paradis
The opening of the “Camping Paradis” campsites began in April 2020. Three campsites have opened in Vendée, Haute Garonne and the Eastern Pyrenees. More than forty “Camping Paradis” will open by April 2021, in the most beautiful tourist regions of France. An original concept, the campsites are compliant copies of the TV series, to the delight of fans. The décor but also the various key animations of the series will be present. The goal is to provide a unique experience for campers, going from fiction to reality.
On the occasion of these various openings, a hundred positions are to be filled. Thus, executive assistants, animators, bartenders/barmaids are sought in order to carry out the opening of the various sites. The expected profiles must correspond to the values of Camping Paradis, i.e. conviviality, sharing, benevolence… Once recruited, the profiles will receive a 2-month training course at Camping Paradis Academy, in order to be operational for the opening of the campsites in April 2021. At the end of this training, the 100 winners will obtain the official diploma of Camping Paradis.
Tourism in campsites, innovative concepts
In France, tourism in campsites is very popular. In the New Aquitaine region, there are no less than 177,443 sites (1). Nevertheless, according to INSEE, camping attendance was down 6.9% in 2019 compared to 2018 (2). Thus, it is therefore more and more relevant to innovate in the campsites, by proposing original concepts, in order to bring back or attract a new clientele.
Thus, the campsite of the Dune, aka the famous Camping of the Blue Flots is located in the heart of the Arcachon basin and the Dune du Pyla. Indeed, he surfs the wave of fame of the trilogy of the film “Camping” to offer his clientele an immersion in the décor of the film … In the footsteps of Franck DUBOSC, Mathilde SEIGNER or Gérard LANVIN. Another concept is also developing: camping combining nature, aesthetics and comfort. Promoted by The Huttopia Company, this concept is based on the return to the essentials and nature. Unlike city life, Huttopia campsites aim to disconnect you from your daily life, often restless and hyper-connected. The company will take over the management of the Arcachon Municipal Camping, while making its mark.
