The 4 Stars of Pau is a horse show that takes place from 24 to 28 October 2018 for its 28th edition in the Domaine de Sers. In the heart of this 110-hectare estate, riders from all over the world gather for a full competition to compete against the international elite. BORDEAUX Business, partner of the event, is happy to present it to you.
Sharing at the heart of the competition
The five days of competition cover various events, each with its own specificity: the inspection of the horses, which allows to see each horse, its line and the rider’s outfit, the dressage events, so that the jury can see the elegance of the horse with many movements as well as the quality of the achievements of these figures. The competition also offers a cross marathon, manoeuvrability, jumping event and the spectacular archery event. The events are part of the International Complete Competition (CCI), the International Combined Competition (CIC) and the Official International Teaming Competition (CAIO). The prestige of the event and the difficulty of the events make it a unique event in France, highly anticipated every year, since there are only six ICC events in the world.
For this competition, no less than 170 riders are registered for the various events, coming from many countries such as France, the United Kingdom, Germany, Australia or New Zealand.
This year, the 4 Stars of Pau is held in partnership with the New Aquitaine Region, the Atlantic Pyrenees, Pau Béarn Pyrenees, the International Equestrian Federation (FEI), Pau Events or Pau Pyrénées Tourisme, as well as Air France, All Suites, Grand Prix, Béarn, Anglofile, Forestier, Clear Channel and Hotel Parc Beaumont. Bordeaux Business is also one of the partners of this event.

Riding is a sport that has been increasingly talked about in recent years. In fact, more than 700,000 people are licensed to the French Riding Federation, making it the country’s third-largest sports federation and the first female. It is a sport that gathers a large audience, especially during the competitions of the French Equestrian Federation (FFE) or the International Equestrian Federation (FEI). In addition, at the last Olympic Games in Rio in 2016, the French Equestrian team won three medals, making it the second nation in the standings in the sport, tied with the United Kingdom.
