They are accompanied by Julien BIROT, guitarist of the band and Pascal DUCOURTIOUX who is on percussion but who is also the musical director of the project.
Together, they share their love of music around traditional Gospel, Soul but also some more original songs.
The group is also deeply invested in the development of Bordeaux’s image and notoriety through music. Moreover, the Misses Swings multiply interventions and trips in institutions (schools, colleges, high schools, universities), hospitals and health institutions and various associations to present Jazz and Gospel, two musical genres that are sometimes little known. Florence DE BENGY was interviewed on TF1’s newscast (1pm, broadcast on January 8, 2017) to present one of her activities outside of pure singing, Vocal Art Therapy.
This method consists of using and developing musical creation with people prone to nervousness, anxiety, self-confidence through speech and singing. It is also a practice used in cases of speech problems, or problems related to the voice. The art of vocal therapy is added to the therapy by painting or dance widely used to calm tensions and free his mind. This is especially important to Florence, who likes to share her love for the song.
The Misses Swing enjoys a very good reputation throughout the French territory, and perform regularly concerts all over France, to share their passion and introduce gospel, updated. They will also be in concert on February 3rd in a Jazzy atmosphere at the Confidential, located at the Chartrons (Bordeaux) or at the Cultura de Bègles on February 4th for a Show Case not to be missed, during which they will present their latest album.
