A smart logo for Total

Total wins with a smart logo. In 2019, digital technology has taken an important place in our society. It’s everywhere, and we evolve with it. In the era of the twenty-first century, new technologies have taken precedence. Manufacturers are invading the consumer market with their innovations. It is with this in mind that the giant of the oil industry Total has decided to equip its industrial sites with bleam. This is a smart logo created by the company Ubleam.

The idea for Total is therefore to evolve in line with the times. The group is seduced by the multiple services of bleam. Indeed, it intends to deploy it through several oil platforms. For Ubleam, a Toulouse company created in 2011, this is a real opportunity to develop its business. Indeed, Ubleam technology is based on a 3D identification technology that makes it possible to connect objects to digital and facilitate their use. In this sense after 8 years of expertise, the company has no less than 987560 scanned for 220 customers. In addition, many awards have come to support the seriousness of the solution such as the Homonumericus Prize.

Total, at the heart of innovation with a smart logo

Well known to professionals and individuals alike, Total is a company created in 1924. It was born under the impetus of Ernest Mercier. In 1993 the company was privatized. Since then, the oil group has continued to evolve and conquer the world. Its presence is well known in Iran, Iraq, Asia, America and Europe. We can no longer dispute the popularity of the company today. Indeed, its turnover is estimated at 209 billion euros in 2018. It is a bright future for the group, which is evolving in 2019.

After a first conclusive test carried out in two French refineries, it is with the idea of adapting more to new technologies that the large group called on the Toulouse company Ubleam to equip itself with its innovative device, the bleam. This is a smart logo. Its mission is to connect to objects up to four meters around it. The logo will deliver interactive content to the user in possession of his smartphone. Thanks to an application, the logo then becomes an informative medium on the object in question. With its presence in the field, Ubleam has therefore signed a contract with Total. The aim is to equip the industrial sites of the Exploration and Production, Refining and Chemicals and Marketing & Services branches. Thus, it is implemented in the United States, Africa, the Middle East and Europe.

A real opportunity for the Total Group to improve its professional performance in the service of its customers. With the use of bleam the objective is twofold. Indeed, with this smart logo Total hopes to save time, reliability, and security vis-à-vis employees as well as facilities. By connecting to the logo, professionals will be able to access data and instant tracking of connected objects. This will enhance the quality of the missions and the safety of everyone. The installation of the bleams is expected to extend throughout 2019. In parallel, the group hopes to use the logo before the end of the year.

Connected software, the evolution of tomorrow

Today, the market is changing rapidly. Industrialists innovate every day with new ideas, with the sole aim of pleasing consumers. Professionally speaking, the objective of companies is to be able to respond to problems, as well as to the needs of consumers. It is a real struggle where millions of companies, from all sectors, come together and compete. You have to be able to be operational and create turnover. The goal is to remain competitive in order to resist and not see your business close, when hundreds next door have to return the keys. To accompany this evolution, Olivier Mezzarobba and Samuel Boury developed the bleam. This new technology is a real added value at the service of tomorrow’s companies. For the latter it is important to maintain a watch and to innovate to follow the progress.

The bleam, or the smart logo aims above all to facilitate the management of companies. In 2019, Google conducted a study on the habits of smartphone users. According to the latter, 91% of smartphone users go to the applications they have installed. Thus for the company Ubleam it is a real opportunity to support companies in this direction. Indeed, there are more and more applications, software or connected objects. Bleam is the indispensable object of tomorrow. In particular, it will make it possible to be aware of a failure, a technical problem, or the state of an object. A real advance on our time, while we are in a changing, evolving environment, where voice search has taken place in businesses as well as in homes and where connected objects are becoming more and more present.

For the Toulouse start-up that multiplies contracts, it is therefore a new way to win over more potential customers. Indeed, the company totals more than 5 million connected objects around the world. It offers its smart logo services to nearly 250 customers. At the beginning, the company Ubleam was established in Toulouse. It achieved a turnover of 800,000 euros in 2018. Today, rich in positive development, its creators have opened an office within Bordeaux.

It is not without recalling that Bordeaux is a dynamic and pleasant city. It is good to live and above all to work. Thus, at the economic, social and cultural crossroads, many companies settle alongside Ubleam. Among them, there are companies like Med Trust, Betclic, Tractr or Little Worker. Large groups or young start-ups, Bordeaux is a city that makes more than one dream. Indeed, it offers professional opportunities as well as one by its ideal living environment.

After a positive observation following the first tests of the use of the smart logo, Total has therefore taken the step of advancing in the era of new technologies. With bleam, the group wants to make the tasks of its employees even easier. A real positive development, it offers the start-up Ubleam a contract that will allow it to make itself better known and develop economically. At present, the Total Group teams are already preparing the installation and use of numerous bleams on the various oil platforms. By 2020, the bleam will have invaded Total’s structures, and perhaps many more.
