Pernod Ricard benefits from a training course produced by Very Up

On April 6, 2021, Pernod Ricard won first place in the Blended Learning and Support ranking. A first place that was awarded at the 2021 Digital Learning Trophies. This competition aims to reward training strategies that reflect the high level of maturity of Digital Learning within companies. The training project of the Pernod Ricard France Campus, therefore won the first place. The latter was notably put in the hands of the company Very Up. It is a service company. It implements professional, innovative and tailor-made blended training for more than 200 major accounts. Training that adapts to current challenges and responds to the company’s problems. Indeed, between health crisis, confinement and merger, the latter had to adapt in order to train its employees.

Training to meet Pernod Ricard’s new challenges

In February 2020, Pernod Ricard is about to merge into the market. During this process, it calls on Very Up to set up a multimodal training project to allow the company to absorb the merger as well as possible.. The project supported by Very Up mobilized no less than 40 people. Le Pernod Ricard’s new partner is not at its first attempt. Indeed, it has already proven itself with 200 large groups. His experience and know-how allow him to obtain the mention “excellent” in the category “Digitalization of training” of Décideurs Magazine. The merger of the Pernod and Ricard entities took place during the health crisis and has been effective since July 1, 2020. Despite the health context, the merger of the entities implies a rapprochement of the teams. Thus, employees need support in the face of these changes. In particular, sales teams need to absorb new products into their portfolio. It must be said that the merger will bring together 60 distinct brands.

Faced with the constraint of time but also the COVID-19 epidemic, the teams had to train in order to adopt a single discourse. Very Up therefore offers training that must consolidate the knowledge and commercial postures of employees. Product-oriented training is the realization of the new Pernod Ricard Campus. The aim is to offer a modern, simple and effective training system. Pernod Ricard France and Very up are therefore moving towards Blended Learning. A choice that also proved relevant in the face of the first lockdown. Blended learning is a learning mode that combines face-to-face but also distance learning sequences. Thus, working in close collaboration, Very Up and Pernod Ricard will produce in 3 months and entirely remotely no less than 50 training modules under the principle of blended learning.

With Very Up, training adapts to the needs of employees

An innovative training project

In order to set up the project, Very Up worked hand in hand with the Pernod Ricard teams. Very Up has always developed its sense of innovation. Moreover, it is a very important dimension of its DNA. However, she had to break the codes to allow all stakeholders to be involved in the project. Thus, Very Up has been small equipped who have worked in short workshops. The objective was to enable an agile approach to gain in efficiency and time. In particular, it was necessary to organize the groups for the 5 product families of the company. The groups included business experts, members of the training team, sponsors, and Very Up’s pedagogical engineers. In parallel, the constitution of the groups makes it possible to co-design and validate in collaboration the training course.

In order to meet the needs of the Pernod Ricard company, Very Up highlights blended intelligence at each stage of the experience. In addition, the goal is to make everyone succeed thanks to the principle of adaptive learning. The solution was able to see the light of day in record time with Teach Up. It is a pedagogical AI that allows you to create educational games independently. For the company, the solution therefore makes it possible to offer educational tools guided by algorithms in order to choose the best solution for each learner. In addition, the journey is also punctuated by digital challenges that aim to connect employees to reality.

Thus, regardless of the context, Very Up shows that training has no limits. It adapts to take a hybrid form that fully meets the challenges of Pernod Ricard. The solution will be officially rewarded on September 9 at the HR Solutions and E-learning Expo 2021
