Women’s travels, the “mobile cocoon”; of Etinc’Elles. Portrait

Last updated:

The beginnings of Etinc’Elles begin with the meeting of two women: Christine and Karine.

Karine has worked in the tourism sector for 25 years. She needed something else, a need to undertake, with an idea based on a social aspect and human contact. A contact that gives meaning to the services it offers, and a precise objective for each organized trip. She worked as an employee in communication and events… And it was during this activity that she met Christine.

Christine, meanwhile, has worked in wine tourism for 10 years, as well as in business communication in Paris. Then she quickly realized that tourism had changed. During travels, there is indeed no exchange. This is more mass tourism than charming tourism, and she thought it was a pity.

Both share the same values: to function, tourism needs to return to a humane, social approach. We must restore a taste for more exotic tourism, and rekindle the spark of discovery. They have therefore created their business in this sense. Not to meet an existing need but because they believe in an original offer. An offer that could have been made for her, in which they put all their heart and energy.

Etinc’Elles: tourism battered in times of pandemic

Etinc’Elles’ activity is solely oriented towards travel and events. Suffice to say that with the COVID-19 pandemic, the company is running quite little. Etinc’Elles always offers the same services. Namely trips for women wanting to explore the world. For a year, departures have been complicated, which does not allow Christine or Karine to continue to organize trips.

Thus, like all tourism companies, Etinc’Elles hopes to be able to quickly restart its activity. The promise of new trips, new excursions 100% female in short.

For seven years now, the company has been able to develop and seduce with its concept. Trips to Cuba, Costa Rica or India… An experience to live at the end of the world, with the desire to discover more and more countries, being well surrounded.

An adventure at the end of the world

And in them, it’s a travel agency made by women for women. Karine and Christine set up trips to the four corners of the world. For short stays between 8 and 12 days, with groups of 12 to 20 people. They supervise and accompany groups of travelers, to offer them the best trip. The best possible experience, to restore the charm of travel. Their goal is also to introduce these women to a country, and a new culture at reasonable prices. They make it a point of honor to exchange through history and culture. To do this, they highlight portraits and journeys of women from these countries.

Travel always takes place in the same way. The group meets before departure, so that they can get to know each other. The opportunity also to discover the program of the stay. Once in the country, they have free time but also moments devoted to cultural discovery through books, cinema or meetings with local families (where they can sometimes live the time of stay). Upon returning from the stay, Etinc’elles keeps in touch with the travellers to get a look back at their experience, to find out how they lived the trip, through a blog made available to future clients.

The goal is really to accompany the clients throughout the journey and after, in exchange and simplicity to restore the taste of change of scenery and cultural discovery, while taking time for themselves.

Journeys rich in discovery with Etinc’Elles

Etinc’elles proposes for the coming year trips under the sign of exchange and conviviality, with very specific themes:

For example, Arcachon, in April 2017. A short wellness stay in Thalazur with the presence of a sports coach so that the clients feel good in their body, rested, pampered during the stay, where the only thing they can think of is themselves…

Lisbon (Portugal) between March and April 2017, “The Charms of Lisbon” to discover the Portuguese capital off the beaten track, away from tourism, to get in touch with the locals, learn their customs, their history, with a French-speaking guide living there.

Poland, in May 2017, under the sign of romanticism and the great loves that bind the link to France, a journey of history and literature…

London in August 2017, for a colourful and joyful stay for the “Notting Hill Carnival”, to see the British capital with its most beautiful assets.
