TF1 and Kinetix, 3D is invited in the 20-hour newscast

TF1 uses Kinetix’s solution as part of its “Tomorrow” section on the television news. Indeed, on May 9, the subject of exoskeletons made it possible to unveil the technological and technical prowess offered by the start-up. Kinetix is, so to speak, a pioneering start-up in AI-based 3D animation. The latter was able to experiment with its solution with the editorial staff of the TF1 Group. The group wanted to develop the integration of 3D animations into its information content. For this, they obviously chose Kinetix, especially since the latter participates in the sixth edition of the group’s Media Lab program. Thus, for TF1 it is an opportunity to offer innovative information and for Kinetix it is a springboard to democratize a solution that has a bright future ahead of it.

TF1 modernizes its tv news with Kinetix’s 3D animation solution

Thus, on May 9, 2021, the “tomorrow” section of TF1’s 20-hour newscast revealed a representation of an exoskeleton made possible by Kinetix’s 3D animation solution. Indeed, Kinetix is a start-up that was born thanks to Yassine Tahi and Henri Mirande. It offers a 3D animation platform assisted by artificial intelligence. Thus, Kinetix’s solution makes it possible to develop 3D animations from 2D videos. This solution then makes it possible to overcome the technological barriers that frame this innovation.

The principle therefore offers the possibility of making 3D creation accessible to all those who have projects in the world of creation. With Kinetix, no need for special knowledge since it is a “no code” solution. Thus, this solution can prove to be a real saving of time but also of money in the context of a project. Wilco, Station F, Agoranov or tf1’s Media Lab support Kinetix in its development and all wish to democratize the world of 3D animation.

In addition, TF1 convinced of the opportunities offered by 3D animation has decided to introduce it at the heart of content. Closely accompanying Kinetix’s project, it was natural for TF1 to call on their service to enhance its content. Thus, as a first attempt, Kinetis’ no-code platform worked alongside the group’s creative teams to integrate 3D animations. These animations are intended for the sets of the group’s television news.

Thus, the TF1 team provided a video on the Kinetix platform. In the space of an instant, Kinetix’s algorithms generated a 3D model. The result was then reworked by an animator and transferred to a new 3D model before being integrated into a scene. For the writing of TF1, the objective is to continue to appropriate 3D in order to make its content more educational. 3D content will be used to explain complex topics in order to make them more understandable. Thus, themes such as the economy, health, or technologies will be illustrated thanks to 3D.

3D gives a pedagogical dimension to information

A springboard for Kinetix’s “NO CODE” solution.

Faced with this and the new opportunities that are emerging, Kinetix wants to develop an automation of 80% of its animation process. The aim is to speed up the work of the facilitators even more. On the other hand, Kinetix does not lose sight of its primary ambition. It wants to offer a solution accessible to all in order to make 3D animations themselves. To grow, Kinetix is therefore strongly supported by TF1’s acceleration program. This is tf1’s Media Lab. Tf1’s Médialab aims in particular to experiment with innovative solutions. The latter are in line with the new expectations of the market and its evolutions. Thus, the group tests the solutions within the environment itself. A team of experts helps advance and lead collaborations to success. In addition, coaching makes it possible to support companies in the key stages of their development.

Therefore, Kinetix has been selected for the new and 6th edition of the program. The group has actually chosen the start-up from a hundred files. Kinetix will then work in collaboration for 6 months with the group’s JT creation teams. This is a unique opportunity to further democratize the solution but also to find new use cases. Hasinsi for the start-up, it is time to reveal its assets to the audiovisual industry. All as part of an enriching and promising project.

The collaboration between TF1 and Kinetix instils positive synergies between the two players. On the one hand for TF1, the solution offers advantages that make it possible to offer a content format in the era of time in a simple and efficient way. On the other hand, for Kinetix, it is an opportunity to have its know-how recognized in a new sector, in this case that of the audiovisual sector. It seems that Kinetix’s no-code solution is intended for great adventures.
