Green VTE aid for students and ecological transition

The national VTE (Territorial Volunteering in Enterprise) scheme is a new aid for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and ETI. Indeed, it accompanies these companies in the recruitment of young people on an alternating or recently graduated basis. However, it does not end there. Thus, the aim is to grant responsible positions to these young people on missions contributing to the ecological transition.

Hiringand training young people is very important. This is why many schemes are put in place to encourage companies to hire. This is all the more essential in a period of health crisis when activity is being put on the back of the air for some companies.

VTE Vert, financial aid to contribute to the ecological transition in French SMEs and ETIs

VTE Vert, the new aid set up by the Ministry of Labour, Employment and Insertion, Ademe, and Bpifrance aims to contribute to the ecological transition but also to the hiring ofyoung people. Indeed, the main component of the recovery plan is the ecological transition but also the guarantee of employment and appropriate support. It is for this reason that the players have come together to promote these two major aspects of the Relance plan. This support will enable 1,000 young people to access responsible positions with so-called “green” missions.

These missions must therefore be linked to environmental themes, while reaching the heart of the company’s business. These include responsible supply and supply chain, the creation of new products and/or services with low environmental impact, and the reduction of the environmental impact of a product/service set up by the company.

VTE ooportunities young ecology company
VTE assistance helps to encourage the hiring of young people while promoting ecological transition.

To be eligible for the offer, the company must be an SME or an ETI. In addition, this assistance applies only to young people with a minimum Bac-3 and contracts having been signed from September 2020. Thus, the amount of aid can reach 8,000 euros and is paid in one go. However, this payment is subject to a report proving the mission’s completion. In addition, the mission must have a minimum duration of one year and the assistance paid may only cover one contract. Regarding the procedures, the application is to be made on the site of Bpi France within 6 months of the hiring of the young person. VTE aid can be combined with other aids such as regional aid, for example.

The importance of hiring young people in companies, benefits for businesses

The alternating hiring of young people in companies is essential for the future of companies. Indeed, it is an opportunity for her to hire people with the will to learn and discover the world of business. In addition, this is at a lower cost compared to a full-fledged employee.

Training a young person helps ensure the sustainability of his business. Indeed, once trained, the young person is operational within the company and develops. In addition, the employer has the opportunity to hire the young person once he or she graduates.

In a context of recovery, the State has launched the “1 Young 1 Solution” plan to support young people and businesses in the recruitment process. Indeed, despite the health crisis, it is essential to continue to hire young people in order to preserve employment but also to preserve their place in their school. Thus, without alternation, young people in training cannot validate their year. The financial factor also comes into play and creates a real risk for students.
